This is my favorite healthy snack. It’s delicious. It’s healthy. It’s filling. Check, check, check! It also makes for a excellent post-work out snack with all that peanut butter protein.
In the Kinder household, we’re a little biased when it comes to the fruit bowl. Most always, the bananas go first. Then anything else – apples, pears, oranges – just sit there for two weeks until we’re forced to eat them or risk them turning.
This snack is a solution to all of that… well, at least for the lonely apples.
- 1 whole apple, sliced
- 4 heaping tablespoons peanut butter (my favorite is Skippy’s Chunky Peanut Butter)
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- Arrange the apple slices on a plate. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
- Scoop peanut butter on the side of the plate.
- As you eat, dip the apple slices in the peanut butter and enjoy!
